Four separate systems, from design to payroll, now meet in one application

An integrated system that brings the data carried by hand between PDM, Netsis ERP, badge access control (time & attendance) and Zirve payroll into one in-house application; engineering data flows to the ERP and access records flow to timesheets and payroll by rule.

Before

Engineering data was in PDM, stock and BOMs in Netsis, entry and exit records in the badge access system, and payroll in Zirve. None of these systems were connected; every transfer between them was done by hand and with Excel.

Item cards and BOMs were written separately by R&D, production and purchasing, and the cards drifted apart.

Monthly timesheets were prepared by HR by hand from raw access records. Break, late arrival, overtime and leave rules could be interpreted differently from person to person, and each payroll period took days.

What we built

PDM NetsisItem cards and technical data are read from PDM variables; R&D, production engineering and purchasing complete and approve the same data card, and the approved card is written to Netsis programmatically.
Access control timesheetBadge records are pulled into the application every 15 minutes. Break, late-arrival, overtime, leave and staff-category rules are applied in a single rule layer; timesheets, reports and staff screens use the same calculation.
Timesheet ZirveThe timesheet prepared for the payroll period is exported in Zirve's import format; missing reads and unmatched entries/exits are shown to HR in a separate checklist.
Visible errorsWhen a source system cannot be reached or data arrives incomplete, the screen says so with the real reason. Missing data is never silently recorded as "absent".

After

The same information is now entered once, from one source. Engineering data reaches the ERP and access records reach payroll without being retyped.

Timesheet rules are written down and applied the same way to everyone; at period end HR checks only the exceptions instead of calculating. Payroll preparation went from more than 5 days to 1 day.

Together with production tasks, HR operations and reports, the system keeps growing as the in-house application the company uses every day.
